Forgot the domain? You don't need it.
How do I use it?
You want to give someone a URL, but forgot if it's .com, .net, .org, .biz, .museum, or .guitar. Don't worry about the endless domain endings, just use this:
- forgotdomain.com/your+search+term
Can you show me some examples?
Okay.
- Paul says: John, what was the screenshot software you mentioned?
- John says: Hm, forgot the domain, but try forgotdomain.com/jing
- Paul says: Works! Thanks.
And another one
- Paul says: John, what's the capital of Denmark?
- John says: Check forgotdomain.com/wikipedia/denmark
- Paul says: Nice, thanks. How do you remember those urls?
- John says: I don't
I've got more questions
- How does it work? In most cases it searches Google and finds the most relevant website for the given keyword.
- I've got a Google search field, how is this different? Forgotdomain.com allows you to give your friends and colleagues an exact URL without even knowing it yourself. You're making their lives easier by not asking them to just f.. Google it. Another difference is the ability to issue command line-like commands, such as the Wikipedia search.
